House Gecko

These geckos are my favorite creature and are EVERYWHERE at our house! I actually caught all of these at the same time. They hide in cracks and under rocks and are nocturnal by nature. However, anytime we water our house foundation (it's a Texas thing) they climb up the brick walls of our house. When you catch them, if they feel that you're a threat, they shed their tail as a way to escape your grasp just as they would do if a predator got ahold of them! These geckos eat any insect they can catch and they are quick when they hunt. You can see in the one picture, that gecko thought I was a snack....
