Little Brown Skink

Here's the next featured creature! The Little Brown Skink, also known as a Ground Skink, which is a common lizard in East Texas. They are often found hiding in mulch and leaves.

One time I saw one in my room. I caught it and tried to convince my parents to let me keep it and they did not!

When you first spot one on the move, you're almost certain to mistake it for a small snake! Their short legs cause them to move similar to a snake and my dad isn't a huge fan!

The Little Brown Skink eats mostly spiders and insects, which is great, because we have A LOT of those around, just ask my mom!
